Thank heavens for youtube!

Everytime we watch a movie Ty will always find at least one part in the movie where there is a song he loves! He watched Mama Mia and instantly fell in love with all of the songs, next was Rocky 1, 2, 3, 4.... he just loves music! So Sean always seems to find clips from the movies on youtube and has them ready for Ty to watch so we don't have to rewind the movie a million times! I have to pretend that my computer at home doesn't play the songs or else he would want to sit and listen to them all day long. The second Sean walks in the door Ty is asking for the laptop to start watching his music!

"I see.....

When the picture of Ty was taken almost exactly 4 years ago Sean printed it out put it in his Ty picture book and wrote "I see blue!" So here we are 4 years later with Macy saying "I see pink!" It is great to have their birthdays so close together to go back and see what Ty looked like, and what he was doing at this same stage of life! It is almost eerie to see how they resemble each other so much and seem to have so many of the same characteristics! I love these two kids so much, I often look back and think, what did I ever do with myself before they came around!

Bath time!

Ty loves to get in the bath and help with Macy. She was crying so hard in the bath the other day and Ty said, "don't worry mom, I'll take care of it!" Next thing I know Macy is sucking on Ty's finger and she instantly stopped crying! They are so cute together! I love how she is starting to recognize him and smiles the second he walks in the door!

Cute pictures of Macy!

Here are a few recent pictures of Macy. She is getting so big and has the cutest big solid cheeks! Notice in the last picture her cute pierced ears, I know she is only two months but I could not resist! I love them!

Gymnastics

Ty started gymnastics in January and he has loved it! The first day of gymnastics they asked that all parents refrain from taking any pictures because there would be a chance for pictures on the last day of class. How can they ask any parent to refrain from taking a picture the first time their child walks across a balance beam. Needless to say, I could not resist!

Daddy's little helper!

Luckily we have not had many rental projects lately! But yesterday when Sean had to fix a leak I bet you can guess who was instantly at his side with his toolbox in hand ready to help!

At home removal of the cast, NOT RECOMMENDED!

Over two hours after he began what he thought was a very simple task, the cast was finally removed! I heard him limp downstairs and I new that within a matter of minutes he would be attempting to take off his cast with a dremmel. After he had either dulled or broke every last dremmel attachment that could possibly work, he moved on to the high tech tools pictured above. I guess he figured there was very little difference in wearing the cast for one week compared to three to four weeks the doctor had told him. As you can tell from the pictures he used very appropriate sterile tools, hopefully no infection will set in! The picture does not do the incision justice, it looks so sore! I do not think he would admit it, but I think he regrets taking it off!

Poor Sean!

This year for New Years Eve I spent the night giving Sean a little TLC after his surgery. He had a bone spur and he needed his plantar facia lengthened. It had been hurting him forever so he finally decided to do something about it! He was supposed to wear his cast for 3-4 weeks but as I am sitting here blogging he is in the kitchen with his dremmel working on removing the cast himself! He says it is bothering him, but anyone that really knows him would know that the real reason for taking it off is that he is dying to see the wound!

Can you tell what I have been doing lately?

I started off thinking that every baby girl needs a few bows so I started making some. Next thing I know I cannot stop, I am obsessed! I kept making the ribbon longer on her bow holder to make room for all of the new bows, now I have to just put all the new additions in a drawers! I love it!

Cousins

Brady just loves Macy! He is so cute with her! I said this before, but I cannot wait until she is a little older and she will finally respond to Brady's love and attention to her!
The other picture is of Millie and Macy who were born only 5 days apart. She is so lucky, she had cousins everywhere! Wendy and her kids came to play and Millie and Macy happened to be wearing the same outfit so of course we had to take a picture! Wendy is magical when it comes to getting the kids to smile for pictures. I could not believe she was able to get both of these two month old girls to smile at the same time, it was so cute!

An exciting trip to Walmart!

It amazes me that every year when we are in Price for Christmas I always need to go to Walmart to finish up something for Christmas! This year on one of our many outings to Price all of the girls went and left the husbands and kids at home! Just as we were about to leave we spotted huge boxes filled with these cute shirts we are wearing. We each got a thermal undershirt and the cute T-shirts on top for a total of $7! How could we pass up the chance to all get such cute shirts and get a picture together! We were at Walmart for so long, girls need a night out every once in a while even if all you get is a long trip to Walmart with your sisters and mom!

Christmas 2008

We had a great Christmas this year. As always on Christmas Eve Eve we made our way to Price to spent time with my family. We helped my Mom make a lot yummy food (actually she made a lot of great food and we helped her eat all of it!), we played outside sledding and riding the 4-wheelers, went to Wal-mart countless times and just enjoyed each others company! The first day we were there Ty wanted to be pulled on a sled behind the 4-wheeler. He was having so much fun and refused to come inside. By the time we finally convinced him to come in we discovered that he was starting to get frostbite on both of his wrists, we felt so bad! Late on Christmas Eve night we came home to have some traditions of our own. Ty fell asleep on the way home from Price so Sean and I left cookies and diet coke out for Santa for Ty. Christmas morning we woke up, opened presents and has a yummy breakfast of omelets, bacon and oranges. Then around 5 we headed over to Sean's families house for a action packed night of the traditional bingo game, where there is never a dull moment! We had a great Christmas and hope everyone else did too!

The Roof

On December 16, 1998 Sean and I had our first date at the Roof in Salt Lake. We had a great dinner and then walked around Temple Square looking and the lights. It must have been a great date since here we are ten years later as happy as can be! We have made it a tradition that every Decemeber 16 for the past ten years we go to the Roof with Chris and Tysen and recreate the date! I cannot believe it has been ten years! I love you Sean!

Loving the snow

Ty has had so much fun this winter playing in the snow. One of his favorite things to do is let the snow pile up on the slide of his playhouse and then race upstairs and slide down. I love to watch him playing with his endless amounts of energy! I wish that I could have an ounce of his energy, I could accomplish so much!
