We were lucky enough to get to have cute Darby come stay at our house last week. Her and Ty are only 5 months apart and love to be together! Sean has been building a cute playhouse for Ty so we have been spending every night outside working on that, needless to say, these two were huge helpers! It is amazing how dirty these kids can get! I had to wash them off twice in the tub and drain it twice before I could get the water clean enough to do any good! They had so much fun!

Party at Grandma's!
One of my greatest memories of growing up was going to my Grandma and Grandpa Ellis's house to go sliding down their hill. They would always get a huge piece of plastic and put it down the hill, turn on the hose and all the grandkids would slide for hours! We went up there last weekend for a family party they got the slide out for the kids but the adults got in on the action and had a great time!
The two prego's!
It has been so much fun to be pregnant at the same time as Sandi! Granted I have been extremely jealous she is so much further along than me, but never the less it has been great! She is going to have the baby on Monday July 7th. We can't wait to meet the cute little guy! As I was looking at this picture I realized that I am not that much smaller than Sandi, she does not get very big, and I get huge!

Ty's trip to Price

My parents love to take Ty and Emmy home a few times during the summer. The kids absolutely love my parents, and my parents are so cute with their grandkids! They literally will play with them every waking second of the day and cave in to their every want and demand. I constantly have to remind my parents that their is a word called "no" that can be used every once in a while!

Ty was especially excited to go to Price this time because my mom knew a guy that worked for the railroad who also knew how much Ty loved trains, and he told her next time he was in town to bring him to the railroad station and he would take them out in the train. The train driver let him drive the train and blow the horn. I love how he is concentrating so hard in this picture! For days after he came home he was still explaining to us every detail about how to drive a train. For example, who knew that before you go forward you have to honk the horn 2 times, and to go in reverse you have to honk the horn 3 times, a three year old can teach you so much!

I am so thankful for grandparents that love Ty so much and are willing to do anything for him! We love you Mom and Dad, thanks for everything you do for us!
My latest project!
I have been wanting a desk to put in Ty's room for a long time now and I could never find one. So a few weeks ago I decided to go to DI to see what I could find. As far as I was concerned I felt like I had truly found a diamond in the rough with this desk! I thought that it had so much potential!
After a day of sanding and three trips to Home Depot trying to decide on a color, this was the final result! I was not too impressed with it at first. I had such high hopes and a much better vision of it in my head, and the final result did not seem to fit the image. But the second Ty saw it in his room he said, "Mom, I love it! It is perfect!" I figured he was the only one that I needed to impress and I did! So I will consider this a mission accomplished!

It's a girl!

Last week we found out we are going to be having a baby girl! Ty is so excited! We kept asking him if he wanted a brother or sister and he always said he wanted a baby girl. Before we went to the ultrasound I was prepping him for the fact that it may be a baby boy, he started crying the huge alligator tears and said I only want a sister mom! I tried to explain that we do not get to choose if they are a girl or a boy but he was so sure it was a girl! When we came home and told him it was a girl he was happy but he acted as if it was nothing he did not already know and went on his way playing! I quess they know more than we do!
I have been waiting for my 20 week ultrasound to confirm that it is a girl before I go all out shopping! However, Ty and I went to the BYU bookstore the other day to get him a hat and they had the cute little pink BYU beanie and I could not resist! When Ty was a newborn baby Marie bought Ty a hat just like that but blue, I loved it! So I figured that our little girl has to have one as well!
Mother's Day in Price
Last weekend Sean, Ty, me, and Stacey headed to Price to go visit my parents for Mother's Day. A few weeks ago Ty said, "Mom, did you forget where Grandpa and Grandma Brown live?" I of course said no and asked why he asked that and he said, "well, we have not been there for so long, so I thought you forgot." Needless to say I felt bad about that and planned a trip to visit! We had a very fun and relaxing weekend, we played outside, went for walks and bikerides, went shooting, ate very good food, and just enjoyed each others company! Ty and my dad always seem to find time to take naps together that is what the last picture is of. Ty loves to play baseball so my parents got him a mit and from that point on all he wanted to do was hit and play catch! I am sure I am baised towards him but he is really good, he can hit the ball so far, it is so much fun to watch him!
Tuesdays with the cousins!
Every Tuesday Emmy and Jase come over while their mom's go to work, Ty thinks it is by far the best day of the week. For the most part they all play pretty well together, of course they all take their turns having a melt down, but we get through it! They are loving the warm weather so they can be outside all day! Last week we had a picnic, went for endless walks in the wagon, (which by the way is a great workout, it is hard to pull all 3 of them in it!) and ended the day wrestling in the bounce house! Ty loves his cousins and we are so happy to be so close to them!
Swimming with Grandpa!
My dad had meetings all last week in Salt Lake so we took Ty and Emmy up to his hotel for a night of swimming and pizza they loved every minute of it! Ty is getting a lot better at swimming and he is so much more comfortable just being in the water. He loves to wear his life jacket and swim around the pool he thinks he is so big! I very anxious to get him into swimming lessons this year, if anyone knows of a teacher that is good I would love any recommendations!
Ty's new outfit
Ty has hit a recent growth spurt and all of his church clothes got too small all at once, so Ty and I went out shopping for new clothes. He helped pick most of them out and was so proud of himself! He gets so excited Sunday morning to pick out which new church outfit he will wear that day! He is so much fun!

It's official!
After 3 years we finally have some exciting news! We are having a baby! This baby is a miracle baby! On New years day I found out that I was pregnant, then 10 days later I started having a miscarriage. I had to wait a month before I could start taking my infertility medicine, but I was told to take a pregnancy test before I started the medicine. Much to my suprise the test was positive, come to find out I had gotten pregnant no more than two weeks after my miscarriage! We went to the doctor today and heard the heart beat for the first time, it was awesome! My parents happened to be in town so they came to the doctor with us! Apparently this baby likes to perform for a crowd! Our kids must be the luckiest kids around both sets of their greandparents love them more than anything, they are always there for us and Ty loves them all so much! They are incredible! My due date is October 28, 2008, only three days after Ty's birthday! Ty is so excited! He was anxious to go hear the baby's "heart bean"! He is going to be such a great big brother!
Camping at Little Sahara
Sandi and Barry have pretty much been begging us to go the Little Sahara sand dunes with them for years. Unfortunatley we have been turning them down for years! So they put together a trip last weekend and we did not have the heart to turn them down again! My entire family went and it ended up being a lot of fun! Friday night was really cold, then Saturday during the day was very nice, but by Saturday evening the temperature dropped drastically and we packed up and headed home early! We had alot of fun riding the 4-wheelers, played in the sand, went sledding down the huge sand hills, the kids got covered in sand head to toe, and just overall had fun! Ty enjoyed very nutritious meals of diet coke and rice krispie treats with M&M's! I am such a great mom when we go camping, whatever he will eat is fine with me! Barry will be happy to know that Sean had a great time riding there and is very anxious to go back!
Easter with the Lamb's
Every year the Lamb's always have two Easter egg hunts, one for the kids which they all love, and the other for the adult money eggs! Sean and his dad seem to think alike and since he hides the eggs every year I suppose Sean has an unfair advantage! This year he found 3 of the 5 eggs, he was so excited! He truly looks forward to it every year!

Las Vegas!
Every year since we have been married we have gone to the Mountain West basketball tournament in Las Vegas. This year we decided to leave Ty home. Sandi and Barry were so nice to be willing to take him for the entire 5 days, he had so much fun! We went down with Chris and Tysen who also left all three of their kids home. We did not do a whole lot besides watch basketball but we were able to just relax and enjoy the warm weather! We stayed at a place called Loew's Lake Vegas Resort in Henderson. We had heard that it was really nice so we decided that even though it was about 20 minutes from the strip it would be worth it. We had a good time enjoying our freedom and being kidless but by the time it was time to come home we were ready to have Ty back home!
Dad's little helper!
The other day Sean needed to go to one of our rentals and fix a problem, which just for the record he has become quite the handyman, he seems to be able to fix anything! I had a cold I could not seem to get over and so Ty was so sick of being stuck in the house in bed with me so he insisted on going with Sean! He was in pajamas that the top did not even match the bottoms and then he insisted on wearing his blue rainboots to complete the outfit, he looked so cute! They were walking out the door when Ty remembered he did not have his tools like his dad so he ran upstairs grabbed his bucket full of tools and raced off to be with his dad, they have so much fun together! He seems to be liking his dad more than me these days, I am not liking that at all!
Boys will be boys!
Ty is such a boy! The porters were over the other day to watch American Idol with us and next thing we know Brock says to Ty, "let's go take our shirts off and wrestle!" They had so much fun! It is great for Ty to have a guy friend to play with, he is always wanting to wrestle and his cute girl cousins don't seem to think it is so fun!

Ty's 4-wheeler mishap!
Ty loves to ride 4-wheelers and we are always very strict about the helmet rule, no helmet, not ride! Well I forgot his helmet this weekend and figured we were only riding up and down the street and on the snow covered lawn, what could possibly happen! I decided to take him over a snow hill and the 4-wheeler hit a bump and Ty flew forward and hit his head on the handlebars. He cut his nose and eye and ended up with a pretty bad black eye, the picture does not do it justice! I felt so bad, I guess it just goes to show you that there is a reason for always wearing a helmet! Luckily it did not slow him down at all, he kept running to look in the mirror and he would say, "I look really cool don't I mom!" Needless to say the rest of the afternoon he wore a helmet everytime he went near the 4-wheelers!
Sledding at Grandpa and Grandma Brown's!
We went to Price this weekend to visit my parents. They have been getting so much snow this year and to top it off they live on the wrong side of the road, not it never seems to melt! The snow on their front lawn was higher than than porch, it was incredible! We got out the 4-wheelers and pulled the kids on sleds, Sean and Barry did their usual hobby of getting the 4-wheelers stuck and having to get out the wench and ropes to pull out the machines! Sean spent hours digging a snowcave, which turned out to be very cool, I finally understand why the scouts find it fun to make snow caves and sleep in them, I would love to try it! It is always fun to go home for the weekend!
